Voices For Our Future – Manx Museum on Sunday 12th May
There is an amazing young naturalist visiting the Island for the closing event in Manx Wildlife Week.
Voices For Our Future takes place at the Manx Museum on Sunday 12th May, from 12.30pm to 2.15pm and celebrates the role young people play in the future of our Island and planet.
The key speaker will be Dara McAnulty. Just 15 years of age, Dara has appeared on BBC TV and radio, nationally and in Northern Ireland. He won a BBC1 Springwatch Award and one from the Mirror newspaper. He is an ambassador for the social justice campaign #iWill and the RSPCA and has written for a whole range of wildlife and nature publications. He is a passionate campaigner for the voice of youth to be heard and has a massive social media following and is very influential – @naturalistDara on Twitter and on other channels. Dara publishes his first book next year.
Alongside Dara will be local young people, telling their stories, and there will be music from Bree and the Junior Manx Bard.
