Maughold House Update

Categories: Charity, Houses, Maughold,

On Monday 6th February 2017, eight students, myself and Miss Bryson travelled to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester to take part in the Coca-Cola Real Business Challenge Final. We had made it to the final 10 out of 280 schools.

The day consisted of students working alongside a mentor from Coca-Cola and completing tasks throughout the day such as a radio advert, budgeting and fundraising. The final task was to create a four minute presentation discussing a fundraiser for the Special Olympics.

Ballakermeen students performed exceptionally and included local fundraising activities in their presentation. Their mentor commented that they had been the hardest working group she’d had the pleasure of mentoring in three years and would love to have the students for work experience.

Congratulations to Niamh and Alanna from Maughold house!
